Just seeking help/suggestions - permanent ban

Let me start with I understand that posting here will not cause EA to resolve my ban, I am just solely looking for help, suggestions, or answers. I am a novice pc gamer (besides an old gaming laptop) so I apologize in advance if anything I say is wrong. While I understand ignorance is not an excuse I just want help with what to do and how to avoid any future complications like this with any game.

BF6 is the first battlefield I have played (I am new to multiplayer games) and I thoroughly enjoyed the game.  So much so that I purchased it twice. I originally played on a PS5 but then recently received my first pc ever for gaming and purchased it again on Steam. On June 26 I logged in to play and saw that I was permanently banned from playing BF6 due to gameplay enhancements. I appealed once and it was denied and the second appeal says “waiting on the studio” even though I have received an email saying it was denied again. It has not updated in the violation report. I am not sure if it has not synced yet or I can no longer appeal. After the ban I did some research and here is a list of the software, apps, or other things that could have potentially flagged me:

Dual Sense Edge controller- what I use to play BF6

Razer Tartarus - I am trying to learn how to play games with mouse and key since I have always played on consoles with a controller. However, I only have used this to play single player games such Kingdom Come, Starfield, etc. Again, I know ignorance is not an excuse but while researching possible causes of bans, I saw in here that the Razer Synapse app can be exploited to use macros such as rapid fire. Is EA’s anticheat system capable of seeing that I never used not only the Tartarus for this game but anything related to macros?

Moonlight and Sunshine - I had downloaded this to recently try to play remotely while on vacation but I had no idea how to use it so just deleted it instead.

Discord - to talk with friends while playing

USB hub
MSI - to monitor my pcs performance

Again, I am upset that I can no longer play this game I really enjoyed it. I purchased the game twice, multiple passes, and skins so I would never purposely chance losing not only my money but the opportunity to play this game. I am just seeking help from fellow gamers on what to do to ideally lift the ban, or avoid any future mishaps like this since I am new to gaming on a pc. Thank you in advance and if any other information is needed please let me know.

To be totally honest, I don't know for definite if they were the issue or if the anti-cheat even "sees" them. It just feels like it might pick them up and possibly won't differentiate between them being for single player games rather than Battlefield.

Me neither and I wish I did so this would not have happened. I really enjoyed playing battlefield it was my first one. Thanks for the reply.

Maybe so! I just inaccurately assumed that it would be able to tell that it’s modding single player games. Thanks for the reply.

  • I use mod managers for my single player games like Vortex and Frosty mod managers

That's possibly another reason. I could see how the anti-cheat might not like those.

I don't know too much about the inner workings.

One of the Razer softwares has **bleep** like macro setups and stuff in it, which has been theorised to trigger Javelin. It's been about half a decade since I owned a razer though, so I'm not sure which of the two it would be.

Thank you for replying. I appreciate any help or knowledge I can gain. The Tartarus itself or the synapse software or app? Also, do you know if their anticheat can see that I did not use it for BF6?

  • And I forgot to add that I use mod managers for my single player games like Vortex and Frosty mod managers. I don’t know if that’s relevant or not.
