Lead the Way Pack - A step in the right direction!
To whom it may concern,
I wanted to thank EA/DICE for noticing and recognizing both the Army and Marine Corps with the packs they did. Specifically, the Lead the Way pack. I think it is a great way to give the player base what we want (no ugly bright skins) and bring recognition to the armed forces.
With this in mind I wanted to offer a suggestion for Memorial Day in May next year. It would be great to release a pack or at offer skins of service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice by making skins of them for Memorial Day. Here is a list of examples/suggestions...
Michael Murphy, Matthew Axelson, Danny Dietz - Navy SEALs MOH & Navy Cross
Gary Gordon, Randy Shughart - Army Delta MOH
Jason Cunningham - AF PJ Air Force Cross
Christopher Adelsperger - USMC Navy Cross
Matthew Abbate - USMC Navy Cross
Any member of the Night Stalkers 160th SOAR or SEAL team KIA in operation Red Wings
For our foreign brothers in arms:
Ian Plank - SAS MC
Paul Bartlett - SBS MC
Sean McCarthy - Australian Medal of Gallantry
Matthew Locke - Australian Medal of Gallantry
Members of French Commandos (1er RPIMa/2e REG) - Knights of the Legion d'honneur and croix de la valeur millitaire
Daniel Wirth - German KSK Ehrenkreuz der Bundeswehr in gold
Kevin van de Rijdt & Mark Holleman - Netherlands KCT Bronzen Kruis
Multiple Polish GROM operators - Krzyz Zaslugi za Dywersje (Cross for Meritorious Service in Special Operations) and US Bronze Star (for joint ops).
All these members were decorated posthumously and memorializing them in the game with its amazing detail would be awesome. Even better would be donating a portion of the proceeds to their associations (eg: Special Operations Warrior Foundation or Children of Fallen Patriots Foundation).
There are many operators from all over the world who have been awarded honors since 9/11 but what is specified here are men who paid the ultimate price and gave their lives, hence why I specify Memorial Day. Veterans day is for ALL veterans. Memorial Day is for those who are no longer with us.
I appreciate any time given into looking at the events in which these men and their brothers lost their lives and also appreciate any discussions held by the Development team in consideration of this post. Thank you for your time and efforts.
