Let's brainstorm some ideas to give recon more value
I saw someone suggested a decoy grenade, that seems like a good starting point.

Honestly, I think the removal of the spawn beacon (and moving it to assault) will give less value to the recon and needs to be made up. But on the bright side, it [hypothetically] means not having the only spawn beacon on your squad be up in the mountains or something somewhere if they are just going to be sniping from a distance.
At least they have the TUGs and a spotter grenade [according to leaks] like in 2042.
