Just my opinion but i think if you limit each squad to two of any class. Example only 2 engineers at any one time you will have better balanced games and will encurage people to try and play other classes and use team play thus creating better battles. I have seen lobbies 80to90% engineer have gone entire matches without seeing a medic or not been revived. Surely this would be a good compromise between fully locked classes for veterans and open for newbies.
Sorry, but I wouldn't enjoy this at all. Sometimes you need to change class to deal with something, but under this system that would be difficult, as the quota might have already been met within the squad (E.G. I see nobody is reviving, but I can't swap to Support as there are already X in my squad playing with mortars at the back). I also can't see it encouraging team play either, as people will just jump squads until they can play their preferred class, or quit and find another match (I definitely would).
Very few people use mortars and there is all the other squads who would have a medic surely its better than everyone been an engineer game feels a mess in my opinion.
