Major Issues Limiting Skill Gap & Player Count Retention in BF6 Farm Kills Game

Yo EA & Dice,   

I’ve been playing BF6 currently at level 120 on console. I’ve noticed several issues that significantly limit the skill gap, affect the player experience, and could eventually hurt the long term health of the game. Experience: COD, Fortnite & BF.

Below is my feedback based on consistent gameplay, along with concerns I’ve personally experienced, seen from streamers, players, and the wider community. And before you say “skill issue,” Fortnite is favored to mouse & keyboard, so you need to be good on controller and not rely on aim assist to keep up, especially in seasons where guns don’t have a scope and you have to bloom fight/tap fire and outplay a m&k player.

1. TTK Is Too Fast, Little Room for Reaction in Close Quarters

Right now the TTK is so fast that gunfights feel predetermined. There’s very little ability to react, outplay, or recover once you start taking damage. This removes a huge part of the skill gap. This also encourages camping. Give players a hardcore mode for those who want the ultra fast TTK game mode.

2. Headshot Multiplier Is Too Low

Body shots currently outperform headshots. There is almost no reward for being more accurate or aiming for the head besides a sniper. Increasing the headshot multiplier a bit would immediately raise the skill ceiling and reward precision. Make the game more realistic, and this will also make snipers less overpowered and more balanced. This will also make hollow and synthetic bullets useful and not a waste of points. Now let’s cap DMR to 2 head shots a kill because then you get rid of snipers. (Yes i understand it contradicts TTK but it should take skill for a fast TTK, I’m not upset by a shotgun to the face or snipe to the dome.)

3. Helicopters & Jets 

Aircraft feel nearly unplayable on a controller: Controls are too stiff or too sensitive, radar doesn’t function properly, and there’s no sense of awareness when flying. This discourages players from using vehicles that should be part of the Battlefield identity. Someone who is new should not struggle just to fly with out crashing. As I’m getting better at the game it’s almost preferred to spawn camp vehicles. If you have complained about this than your issue is with the developers not with the players. It’s war out here either kill or be killed. So spawn killing should be removed unless the developers want us to continue to spawn kill.

4. Tanks Need Louder Audio + Better Visibility on RedSec BR Map and the Die quickly.

Tanks are powerful, but they are too quiet and don’t appear on the map consistently. For balance: louder engine sounds and always visible on the map. This would make tank encounters less frustrating and more fair. But in multiplayer they die super fast in a 34v34.

5. Movement 

Movement feels restricted. I understand the focus is to be a realistic game, the limited sprint speed makes maneuvering, repositioning, and escaping nearly impossible in gunfights with the fast TTK. Increasing sprint could drastically improve flow and combat flexibility. Penalty sliding/jump-shooting that’s so you have the advanced movement while not being able to laser beam your gun. Make sprinting a bit faster and add stamina bar for realism and balance. Other bf games had movement I don’t need to hear “play COD.”

6. visuals 

its hard to see anything. That’s it. To much visual clutter, this isn’t camp simulator.

7. Maps

Every map is just constant action from every angle—you push one lane and immediately get shot in the back, hit by a tank, or caught in crossfire from three different sightlines. There’s no real flow, no safe spacing, no moments where you can reset, rotate, or set up a flank. It feels like the maps were designed to keep you in nonstop fights instead of letting players use positioning or game sense. There’s no possibility to actually control your engagements, create spacing, and make plays. In BF6, it feels like maps punish you for trying to do anything other than sprint into the meat grinder. My cortisol levels should be studied after spawning and dying a few times in a row without any breathing room.

8. Recoil & Controller recoil.

Recoil fights you when you try to control it, guns in real life aren’t this difficult to recoil control. Im a controller player, that being said aim assist with a lesser recoil than M&K is pay to win. Recoil control is lowered for controllers not even discussing aim assists or saying it should be nerfed even tho aim assist feels strong even after update. Having reduced recoil is just unfair to M&K players. It should be the same recoil across all platforms I don’t know what other game has ever done this.

Addressing these issues would: Create a real skill gap create a player retention as players feel progression of getting better at the game, Reduce frustration for new and high-level players, Improve long-term retention overall and Help the game reach its full potential. Right now this game is set up for anyone to pick up the game and farm kills by being a turret with not much skill. I know not everyone on here is a gamer who plays competitive so let’s add more full casual modes with bots as it helped me integrate me into multiplayer. 

 These changes could push it from “good” to a truly great Battlefield experience, especially for those who love to play competitively especially since EA is looking to host competitive tournaments now.

    The game is fun, but there are issues that come a long with it. Just like all other online multiplayer games. My best advice to those having some trouble. Find a squad and communicate. Don't pay attention to those saying skill issue or whatever, they're the ones probably cheating or having an advantage and that's why they feel comfortable saying stuff like that. The best players I have played with so far have been players that help each other out, communicate, and play objectives. Regardless of skill level

    You're a controller player and you're actually asking for another nerf for controller? The controller tuning in BF6 is already trash. It's basically impossible to compete against MnK players for an average console player. Just look at the scoreboard when crossplay is on, console players are getting absolutely stopmed. If crossplay is off, why ruin the muscle memory just built?

    When I say it feels predetermined it’s because the one camping ADS when you turn the corner is most likely gonna win that close quarter fight because of the fast TTK you won’t have much time to react, the lack of movement, or head  shot damage to skillfully outplay a camper. 

    You don’t even have to worry about cheating or hacking. I have not once ran into a cheater EA does a lot of job of keeping this under control. Only 2% of people who play Battlefield has come across someone cheating.

    Bro, I had never played a shooter game where one platform had less recoil than another. That’s just playing un fair. I’m not talking about nerfing aim assist. 
    Look, I come from playing Fortnite, where mouse and keyboard dominate the competitive scene because yes, mouse and keyboard is better. But you will still have a few on controller players. It’s just console players are more casual and they can turn cross platform off unlike m&K you can’t. Not every m&k player is a sweat. Your not an old dog you can learn the re coil control your just complaining. In the long run it’s just an un fair advantage that most games do not implement. Good control players know the aim assist is reason good where you can compete in controller in BF and not lean heavily on m&k it’s just a skill/experience issue.

    One is body TTK the other one is a skilled TTK since you couldn’t make the  connection on the skill issue on BF6 title of this post.
