Match-making needs to be transparent
Ok, so for some reason EA/DICE doesn't seem to be able to pull together lobbies without lots of bots even when thousands of players are available in our region.
Here's an idea: At least let us make in INFORMED decision.
I don't want the old Server Browser, but one thing it did give was knowledge of the pool of available players in the regions and pings and maps and modes that you wanted to play.
If you searched and your criteria came up with no servers you could relax the criteria until you got some.
Now?
You just have no idea why you are getting bots.
Is it the mode you've chosen? The map? Is it the time of day? Is it your region? Is it because you have cross-play off? WHAT IS IT?!
At least if we knew we could maybe choose better or would at least know what to complain about.
I believe it's the last part that is the sticking point here, though.
My suspicion is that the answer a lot of the time to why you can't get a server without a ton of bots is: The design of the match-making system (especially mixed with cross-play) is absolutely awful and EA/DICE don't want to admit it.
