It's been happening to me for the past few BF games on PS5. Like you I'm sure it happens too many times for it to be me pressing too hard on L3. I certainly don't hear or feel a 'click'. I'm assuming it's just over sensitive sometimes. Really annoying though as it gets me killed at least one a play session.
