Mortar spot

So...if I'm not allowed to deploy my mortar in my hq...why am I spotted to all enemies after the first shot. I may be complaining but I hoped this gadget would be useful like in bf4. I don't mind how little damage it does. It is meant to support the front, but by God how do I support with it if I'm spotted to all enemies in a area they can all go to. If I'm able to be killed by recon drones sure ok. BUT I ALSO AM SPOTTED FOR THOSE SAME RECON DRONES TO SEE AND I CAN'T BE ON EVEN THE EDGE OF MY HQ.

  • That 3d spotting would have sense if mortars did something, but they can't kill a thing.

Also, not being able to deploy on your base removes the only option to fight back enemy mortars when your team is being pwned.

I'm using it regularly because other gadgets like airburst, are also useless. Wall and defibs or wall and mortar are the best setups for support. Smoke is redundant, airburst 25m range is a joke, specially on conquest or escalation, and the defending ones are usable, but they get destroyed after only 1 activation, so are also pointless.

  • Can't complete the last medic challenge to get elite because if it doesn't track. It gives 10 damage out of 1,000 for the airburst. I have 672 but it just stops tracking every game after the first.
