Mortar sucks

As a former airborne infantry squad leader I feel like I have some insight on this.  While I wasn't an 11C I have hung mortar rounds on several occasions.

If you're going to have a mortar system in the game that highlights you for everyone to see those mortars should be useful.  As currently implemented they are less than useless.  In fact they are without a doubt the biggest POS equipment in the entire game.  There are many ways you could make them better and more useful allowing a variety of gameplay mechanics to be better expressed.

Unfortunately right now they are so utterly useless there is no point in using them whatsoever.  I hope someone from the development team sees this and brings it up in a meeting.

I don't like it that it exposes your position for everyone to see, other than that the balance for the mortar is fine, yet for now, the only times I have seen it actively being used was on the rupture mode... It's very efficient when a team has 3-4 mortars spamming the objective

You are DELUSIONAL if you think the mortars are balanced.  Ive fired hundreds of rounds directly onto packed points.  Ive never, not even once, gotten a direct kill.  I get a hit for 10-20 damage for every 20-30 rounds fired.  Meanwhile Im spotted on the map for everyone to see.

Mortars are one of the most casualtie creating weapon systems available at the squad level.  Now Im not saying they should be as good as they are IRL.  But there are a million ways to balance these mortar rounds so they are effective without being over powered.
