Mortars in Spawn

Except most players now are using the MP-APS and as soon as it triggers they move and start firing somewhere else.

Why do I have to play like a rat to counter rat play?  I'm getting zero kills and no weapon exp.  I'm playing the game in a way that makes me want to uninstall.  This isn't really an answer.

In most breakthrough matches now you have at least an entire squad mortaring the obj.  Usually on each team too.  5-6 mortars on an OBJ makes the game feel like garbage because it's just constant BOOMBOOMBOOMBOOMBOOM and no one on either team can even touch the obj as a non-rat player.

It was a bone-headed decision to allow it and it was brought up by several people on these forums the day the patchnotes were released about how bone-headed of a decision it was.

Thank god they un-nerfed movement so everyone is playing like a cracked out CoD toddler again.  Great to see they're making good decisions regarding this game.  Blech.

put down your own mortar, output 3 shots, get off and pick it up, relocate and repeat until they decide it is not worth the hassle.

This was a staple at least in BF3, BF4 and BF1.

It is not like these things are particularly deadly on their own. Now if a full squad is focus firing the objective... yeah that could be a pain but this is still a behavior that it is unlikely to happen because BF players hate working together or not being a efficient in killing and the mortar is not an efficient killer.
