Yes, that can happen when your character is in a spot that can't contain the full model when prone. The game will slowly move you until there's enough space.

I don't know if its relevant to this topic but my character often move by itself. For example when I try to prone, my character seems to be moving by itself without me moving it.

Man, how many times have I found myself unable to move out of the way of incoming fire because of a small table…
For me the issue is that what moves and what doesn’t isn’t always coherent. Sometimes you can waltz through a bunch of clutter, sometimes one single object will leave you stuck.
