My thoughts on the game after 400 hours of playing it...

So i am a Battlefield veteran aswell, since BF2 and i am about to express my thoughts so far concerning Battlefield 6, hoping some people will reply with what they are thinking and meybe some devs see and hopefully take actions (or not).

I don't know where to begin, so i am going to start with some game modes :

  • RUSH :

This mode doesn't feel like the good old Rush modes from previous Battlefields, maybe because the way the maps we are having so far are not opted for a mode like that. Usually the good maps on previous titles were more "linear" like Operation Metro, Noshahr Canals, Operation Locker, SIege of Shanghai, Propaganda etc. Now it feels like we play in a big part of a big map with not so many focused CQB areas.
Also the tickets are so low, 75 for the attackers, where in previous titles we had 200 tickets and a timer which in my opinion was the best combo for a successful mode. With just 75 tickets, if i die (which i do a lot in BF6 because of the way the game is built) i cannot "rush" and stand down waiting for a medic to lift me up.
SO overall in a mode that takes a lot of tactical approach to succeed especially when you are attacker, laying down is not so good, when defenders can just respawn and laugh at you while seing you down.

  • ESCALATION :

The most fun mode on the game in my opinion.
Yet there are a few flaws that make the experience a bit awkward in some maps like MIRAK VALLEY for example. This map starts with 7 objectives and in the final stage, when the 2 teams are tied the final 3 objectives are 2 in CQB areas (the 2 buildings) and the third one is on an open area which by the end of game is probably leveled. While the game progresses each team starts with Light transports and transport Helis and by the final stage O-M-G each team has 8 (!!!!!) Tanks and 4 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) Aircrafts...For a map that is focused on CQB... why? I mean it would be lovely to have all those tanks and atatck helis and airplanes on Conquest, yes, but what is the fun of that in Escalation?
Also at some maps of that mode each team starts with tanks which i think is not so much fun, i like the progression where we start only with light vehicles and we get heavier as the game goes on.

  • STRIKEPOINT

    Why does it even exist?
I mean it is something different than what we have experienced on BFs so far, but a 4v4 on a large scale map where the preparation time takes longer than the actual gameplay? Not fun at all, the box in that mode is permanently unticked on my modes list.
It could be fun though on a 12v12 or a 16v16 team size and a best out of 5 or out of 7 win, where saving a team member would actually worth taking the risk or killing the downed enemy would actually matter.

  • SQUAD DEATHMATCH

Squad deathmatch is fine but i have an objection on one of the challenges.
This game mode is insta-respawn and on one of the challenges is asked of the player to make 10 (!!!!) revives in one match...On a mode where you have to be as fast as possible with your respawn so you hunt for more kills before your enemies......undoable, unless you play with 3 other guys and they stay down while you revive them and ofcourse loose the match. This need to be fixed.

Now i am going to talk about some thoughts i have about classes and gadgets :

  • ANTI-TANK

I believe that the majority of the players play the 2 large scale battles of Conquest and Escalation. That means one thing as i think many have noticed : too many Engineers... Engineers everywhere and not because people love playing that class, but because it is "mandatory" to play it in order to survive and win a game.
Assaults are somehow useless, especially on the late stages of each game, Supports are abit less useless and reviving someone isn't usually their main focus since reviving is not that rewarding in my opinion. Snipers are also a bit useless since they stay far from the objectives and do not help with the captures and maintainance.
So i said that Assaults are useless because those modes are filled with tanks and as an Assault you can do nothing but avoid them. What if they had some AT equipment, i dont know some M320 that does a bit more damage to tanks? Or a smaller size mine to feel that they actually do something against them? and ofcourse i don't mean kill a tank with 3 shots of M320, that would be super unbalanced, but at least make like 30-40% damage and assist an Engineer to take it down.
Also the Support class could take back the C-4 charges and assist with tank breaking aswell.

  • SUPPORT :

Supports are the highlight of the game since they are the ammo suppliers, cover set ups, revivers, anti-grenade and anti-missile set ups etc. Yet it feels like they don't get as much rewards for what they offer as they should.
I see on chat many players complaining that they don't get revives, and supports past by them hunting for kills instead of actually "supporting".

  • USELESS GADGETS :

There are gadgets in the game that people don't use that much or don't use at all.

    -Flashbang and Stun grenades :
What's the reason of having 2 of those instead of combining in one, like in previous BF games or other FPS shooters.

    -X95 Breaching device :
Haven't used that, probably never will. I don't see the reason for its existence  since assaults already have the M320 to destroy and breach surfaces. It can be modified and used in a different way, i don't know, maybe like a 2-3 seconds EMP strike for tanks and aircrafts, just a thought.....

    -SS26 Shotgun
Assaults can already have a better shotgun as a weapon/gadget so i don't see the reason it exists.

    -Vehicle Supply Crate
In my opinion it should restore more ammunition than it already does or maybe giving more boost to some vehicle cooldowns.

    -Mortar
It used to be one of the most banable and unbalanced weapons on previous BFS. Now it feels like a small radius low damage equipment, haven't used it that much, probably won't use it anymore, unless it gets a bit boosted, at least with a bigger radius and not so much damage, because it will make it unbalanced again.

    -Goliath Compact
No reason for second resupply pouch since the main one does excellent and ressuplies fast.

-Recon has the most usefull and complete gadgets, i don't know if the devs would add anything extra.

I won't focus on weapons balances and game bugs sincethey are topics many people talk about and already have expressed their opinions, so that is going to be the end of my post, i hope i managed to write down all the thoughts i had, thanks for reading and sorry for the long post. See you at the Battlefield.

You know what I find hilarious.... Is like sooo many people already know what's terrible about the game that makes it less fun.

On a side note.... What's worse than not getting revived is people just waltzing by an enemy tank mine instead of you know... destroying it. 😆 I play slow so I see it all the time and end up mine sweeping the roads close to HQ

  • I forgot to also add the drenaline Injector of the Assault that is the ultimate useless gadget... It freakin' deafens you and you are not able to hear enemies' footsteps, just your heart pump, this effect had to be changed because it is also on the Frontliner Perc when you spawn on an Assault that uses it... :(
