Nightfall - Feedback After Update 1.2.2.0
Call of Battleroom 6, lights out. Im struggling to understand the appeal, or why they thought this was a good idea for Battlefield.
Team imbalance: I've played 6 rounds, 5 of which were losses, due to team imbalance issues. I'm 154, and I was on a team of people ranging from 30 to 80, against a team of people 200+, in the first round. The next few rounds were similar mixes of levels, noticing a huge bias to one team or another. My winning round was because I ended up on the team of "red" players. Why has this still not been addressed?
Spawn Camping: In most rounds, I've experienced issues where enemy players are standing next to me when I spawn in. Some were spawning in at the back of the base where our team tended to appear the most, waiting for this. Unsure why this is still a present issue in death match modes, as I was under the impression the Devs were aware of this and actively fixing it?
Night Vision Goggles: I've regular issues where they keep refusing to activate after holding the button for an extended time. I've tried another controller and I'm having the same issues. The icon fills up, then keeps spinning around endlessly. Was this appropriately tested before release? It's the exact same issue for the gasmasks.
Netcode and hitreg: Honestly seems worse after this update. Unsure why ploughing 5 slugs into a player at close range, with the reticle aimed directly at their chest does nothing, yet I can be one hit killed by them. Is this a crossplay issue? It feels like it's repeatedly being ignored. Across the board, the amount of bullets needed to kill a player seems to have increased. Was this by design?
Engineer and Recon are neglected: Sure, I can fire an RPG close range, or set a few claymores or motion detectors down, but what's the point when it's so fast paced, and the netcode and imbalance issues are still present? With people instantly respawning in this mode, they'll be gone in record time. There's no need for tactics, you just shoot, die and respawn. At least in bigger modes and maps, you have the option of tactics. It's the historic issue of small scale modes on Battlefield. It's not really the focus of a big warzone game. It's not supposed to be call of duty.
The Map: It's simply boring. Boxy, traditional, DOOM style corridors, but executed worse. Again, this franchise was built around big, open air, vehicular, combat, where a map has a balance between areas of close quarter, and vehicular alike, such as Battlefield 1 or V. Again, these modes are for COD, and shouldn't be the main selling point of the season. I was a regular pilot on most Battlefield games, and now that seems like a distant memory. Jets are neglected to the point of almost non existence, and helicopters die instantly on conquest, which again is plagued by many of these issues above.
Night modes are a good addition, but not in this setting. This post hasn't even addressed the masses of UI, user agreement and crashing issues I've faced on PS5 either.
Again, poor show EA, do better! You've got the money for it.
