Only cheaters and console players. This is the current state of BF6.

I stopped playing BF6 for 3 months, reinstalled it, and uninstalled it again.

All this graphic quality for a flawed product, designed solely for 15-year-old kids coming from Fortnite and COD who hop left and right every second and slip, hop, and slide with a laser gun that melts you in a second while you use a whole clip to the head just trying to take away half their health.

Let's not talk about redsec because it's the pinnacle of nonsense. Between cheaters who can see you through walls and console players who can't run but they kill you with a headshot from 1km, we've reached the end of this chapter of BF where the veterans have given up and the new generations can't think of what to do, who to help other than hop, slide, hop, and slide.

  • I played the new COD beta. I was amazed that BF6 has more rabbit jumping and sliding than the new call of duty. Call of duty actually slowed down the movement this time.

Something they learned but Battlefield forgot. Battlefield 2 many of us wanted that style of play to be removed. We didnt want that style of play. But here in bf6 it returned.

    Battlefield developers should take note.

Yet the call of duty game still sucked. All the weapons were like lasers pointers.

  • Your main post is redundant.  Cheaters and consoles are the same thing.  When you have an auto-aim that will scope to my face across the map and will negate recoil and track me without any real input from the player.... on MnK this is called cheating.  When you plug a controller in, this magically becomes acceptable.

I get it though, consoles are bad players.  They need the assistance, and wouldn't be able to compete otherwise.  I would love for someone to explain the reasoning to me as to why I can't choose to not play with them though.  I mean, I guess I could just uninstall the game.  I'm curious if I could get a refund from steam with how poorly EA is handling the game at the moment.

Cheaters... I mean, I'm not on board with EA's estimate of like 5% of games actually being affected.  I don't believe the player going 90/4 on hagental is legit.  I don't believe the level 1400 player is legit.  I don't believe the guy who had 100% headshot percentage to be legit.  I don't believe the level 15 player going 10/1 KDR is legit.  I don't believe the guy who's name in game and on the scoreboard somehow has custom formatting so his text is 4x the size of normal and using not-allowed characters is legit.  I don't believe the players who's names are straight up slurs that should have been caught by even the most worthless of filters is legit.  I don't believe the guy who's name is "", and I mean literally NOTHING, is legit.

There are so many obvious cases every night I play that cheaters exist in the game that everytime EA makes a post about how good their anti-cheat (supposedly) is I only feel insulted and ignored.  I mean, I loved their recent anti-cheat post because whoever wrote that seriously put in some real effort, but it's also completely tone-deaf.  Nothing like lowering your percentage when players are only seeing more and more suspicious behavior.

Glass houses and all that 😁

I mean seriously, you sound like a kid when you post hyperbole like this.

..and after TPM 2 they blocked the fair players too.

I, on the other hand, can't wait for the kids to go to sleep instead of replying to a comment written by a veteran with 20 years of BF to say nothing.

  • I long for the day when people will go to psychologists with their incoherent emotional outbursts instead of trashing the forums with them...

  • Hi. I can see how incredibly frustrated you are, but I need to shed some light on this... game? Yeah, I guess it is still a game.

The fact that you didn’t play it for several months is completely normal. Plenty of players haven’t even launched it again. Do you think EA cares? Not really. The initial sales delivered what the marketing department expected. Whatever the profit was, they already made it. Whether people continue playing afterwards is largely irrelevant to them, although perhaps some people inside the company still care.
Now, back to your frustration. Battlefield 6, and previously Battlefield 2042, has a mechanic implemented in the game called DDA, or Dynamic Difficulty Adjustment. I’m not going to debate whether this mechanic exists. It does, it has been patented, and it is widely used. Whether something like this belongs in an online multiplayer FPS is another question. In my opinion, it absolutely does not.

Players spend hundreds of hours improving their skill, accuracy and reactions. They buy high-refresh-rate monitors, expensive hardware to achieve more FPS, and better internet connections to keep their latency as low as possible. In this game, however, none of that seems to matter consistently.

If only the most skilled players were allowed to dominate, even fewer people would still be playing. Unfortunately, this isn’t 2005 and this isn’t Quake III Arena. The game appears to manipulate recoil, packet handling, hitboxes, damage and possibly other undocumented variables during live matches.

The real question is whether it does this constantly. Probably not. But the more aggressively and frequently you play, the stronger the apparent penalty becomes. The system seems designed to prevent new and weaker players from becoming discouraged. They need to experience enough success to remain engaged and potentially buy another season, a skin or some Battlefield Coins.

PC players also face additional disadvantages, including stronger recoil than on consoles and controller aim assist. Of course, if someone is only a casual weekend console player, neither aim assist nor reduced recoil will magically make them good.
