Not the approach I was expecting but I like it. You might have to edit assault as its losing the second weapon slot, but i love the aproach of allowing this class to have access to most weapons. I do agree that support and medic should split. Other then what I already mention i like your approach.
I hadn't heard anything about Assault losing the weapon sling, but that should be an easy and minor adjustment to make.
