Paid server hosting.

When I bought BF6, it was with the understanding that Battlefield had gone back to its roots, and would be like the games we played back when the franchise first started.  I was so pumped for that I did something I NEVER do.  I bought the game on day 1 for full price.  I even bought all the extras.  I was so happy.  The game did not disappoint, it was great.

Then EA broke the portal and I don't care why.  I thought we were going back to the old days?  In the old days we could play 32 vs 32 conquest with bot backfill.  One player could hop on and start playing, their friends would see that and join.  Now we can't, and so EA broke their own EULA and their promise to the fans.  Over a year later this is still broken?

I'm not here to complain as much as to offer a solution.  Back in the day we paid for server hosting.  We were fine with that.  Bring that back and let us play how we want to.....like was promised.  Let us just pay for an official server hosted, with XP, 1 player start, stats ect. like we used to have when the game was good.  That way EA gets money, a server host gets money, and we get our game back.

  • The paid server hosting ship sailed after BF1. It will never be brought back in Battlefield. To have hope that it will is a pipe dream.

Understand that EA does not want you playing their game for more than 1-2 years. They want to sell you their next game.  Paid server hosting prolongs community interest in a game. See BF4 and BF1. Do you think those games would still be active, if they had to rely on matchmaking and official servers?
