Party Size/Platoons

In Previous BF Titles we had platoons, Squads of 5+, and parties that could accommodate more friends than 3 additional people. In the recent Titles, this number has been lowered to Squads of 4 and no way to game with groups larger than 4 (Parties are also locked down to 4 people).

My Friends group attempts to play together by leaving after a round and re-joining on me/my friends in my party and hope the Queue isn't too long. But it would be a MAJOR game feature if we could all party up and go from round to round seamlessly.

I'm ok with leaving Squad size at 4 if we can have 2 or more squads linked,  or even just allowing a Party size of 8 and allowing the people in the Party to match make even if they have to split into squads once they are in the new round.

Agree,  modern games hate friend groups larger than 3 and it hurts.

Give us back a Server Browser for all matchmaking and end this BS!  EA is just showing how much they care about dollars and data over players with this.

I agree with this whole heartedly. There were times in the beta where we would have a party of 5 or 6 friends that wanted to play together, but then it turned into people waiting around at the menu trying to join. Even when they get into the gane, the match is half way over. Then you get booted once the server is over and have to repeat. It turned into the people waiting around to leave and go play something else. No reason why you cant have more than 4 people in a party. Also Give us options so you can see friends name tags as a different color. Battlebit had it and it was a great addition.

A solution if Dice wants to keep squads manageable with 4 they could do 2 fireteams of 4 inside a squad (8 players total) and then 2 squads to make a platoon (16 players) and then 2-4 platoons per team (based on match type).  Fireteams have the ability to respawn inside their own fireteam yet they are part of a squad of 8 that can create a lobby/Matchmake together.

Even just sticking to Fireteams of 4 and Squads of 8 (or squads of 4 and platoons of 8 for keeping with current naming).

  • Agreed! This is very important to me as well.  We routinely have more than 4 people wanting to play together.  Not being able to easily stay in matches together and properly coordinate really puts a damper on it.
