PC/Steam Hotfix Update

The most recent (hotfix) update on steam has made my game now unplayable. The anticheat loading screen gets to "launching game" then goes away and the green play button comes back. Things i've tried...

Why bother continuing to give actual feedback when it's repeatedly ignored? Fix this mess, instead of pushing "new year, new gifts". We want a working game, not a broken mess.
