Permanent ban - I'm done with BF

It doesn’t bother me at all. I just got tired of playing against bots on Xbox (I guess most players are banned already :D). I bought BF6 for PC on Steam, connected my Xbox controller with a cable (USB—nothing in between), and played for about 30–45 minutes. A few hours later, I decided to play again and found out I was permanently banned on PC as well as on Xbox.

I logged into my EA account and saw the reason listed as “Gameplay enhancement.” I have no idea how I supposedly did that, but whatever. I’m a mediocre player—my K/D is 1.12—and I only play for an hour or two per week. I think something running in the background might have triggered it (maybe AMD Adrenalin Software?).

I also found out that there are five “solved” cases closed on my account. WTF?

What I’m trying to say is: if EA permanently bans players for no reason—or for reasons they can’t even explain—people will stop buying future games. Why not ban someone for a month or even a few months instead? They’re hurting their own business.

This game isn’t good, and it’s dying right in front of us.

I got a refund already. After playing BF since the beginning it’s time to call it a day. Playing with bots ain’t fun at all.

  • Yes, AMD Software: Adrenaline can trigger anti-cheat bans. Specifically, enabling Anti-Lag+ modifies game code directly, causing systems like Valve VAC (in Counter-Strike 2) to falsely flag you for tampering.

While the standard driver features and overlays are generally safe, anti-cheat programs can be extremely strict. Keep these key details in mind:Anti-Lag+ Bans: AMD previously pulled certain driver updates because Anti-Lag+ altered engine code, resulting in automatic bans.

Always keep Anti-Lag+ turned off in competitive online games.Overlay & Tuning Risks: Customizing graphics, HDR, or color settings via the Adrenaline overlay has, in rare instances, caused anti-cheat systems in titles like Apex Legends or Arc Raiders to crash the game or trigger penalties.

False Positives: If anti-cheat software aggressively misinterprets driver functions or background overlay hooks, it can result in a ban.

From Google. ToS states to disable all 3rd party software or risk a ban. Too many PC players think its ok to use 3rd party software when ToS states you risk a ban using it.

Almost all 3rd party software will give you a competitive advantage over other players who isnt using that software which is against the Rules and is called Gameplay enhancement.

That Anti-Lag+ was probably the culprit. Since it modifies game files. Javelin said nope you cant do that and banned you.

Keep in mind consoles cannot use any 3rd party software they are closed systems and cannot download any of them. So your enhancing your gameplay using 3rd party software over a console player which is a bannable offense. Javelin is an aggressive anticheat it will catch everything.
