Please buff PSR bullet velocity

At the moment, I dont see a single reason to use the PSR over the M2010 other than mag size.  The sweet spot apparent bonus is not worth it whatsoever.  It has more recoil, lower rate of fire, lower bullet velocity...it doesnt make sense that the first sniper in the game is signicantly better while the PSR is advertised for longer range use but the bullet velocity max is lower than the m2010.

It is nice that you reduced the challenge requirements to get it, but there just isnt any reason to use the gun when the M2010 is better in every category.  All you get is 35 yards of sweet spot? Body shots 100m or less does less damage that the m2010: 78 vs 64 which honestly is fine, but why would a longer range sniper have less bullet velocity? Makes no sense.

Also, why is there no clear stat change when using long range rounds in any of the snipers? Is it actually doing anything in reducing time to target?

All I ask is that you give us a reason to use the sniper - just a bullet velocity buff would suffice.

  • It’s frustrating how none of the guns in this game seem to work properly or even match their own stats. The numbers on the screen don’t line up with what you actually feel in-game, and none of the gun velocities seem to work properly at all. It’s like every weapon is off in some way. The entire weapon balance system needs a proper rework, not just small tweaks.

@iLuckyBrad yeah it is definitely frustrating with the lack of clarity.  They take the time to code the physics, why not take the small extra step of ensure proper descriptions and stat summaries.  Some of the changes are so small, I really have no idea if im wasting attachment points or not.

OP is entirely correct, their gun balance logic is way off. Also the whole sweet spot idea is also just weird and selective.

Assault rifles, LMG's and DMR's aren't close range weapons either, so why do they start with maximum damage and gradually lose damage?

SR's should just start with maximum damage like any other weapon.

  • Glad other people are finding this problem with the guns in battlefield 6.  I was told on another forum, that it was a skill issue.
