Portal mode similar to BF2042?

It should be possible to do that, but I don't know how the XP will work as I'm not sure if it'd be a verified experience.

Thanks for the link. However, the information provided is not enough to understand if we will have a Portal mode similar to the one in BF2042. Back then we could create our own experiences, set some rules, and have moderate progression even when playing only against AI bots, as long as the proper settings were respected. For almost four years I played almost exclusively on password-protected servers and I enjoyed it a lot, also because the bots’ abilities were not that bad in my opinion. Now, with the new Battlefield coming soon, I wonder if we will at least have the same modes and rules, allowing players to play as they prefer, gaining XP progression even just against bots (it would be fine even if it was slower than regular PvP). I also wonder if the AI of the bots will be on the same level as in the previous title, although in the last beta I noticed a worrying decline. If the developers give more details and confirm these features, and maybe add more, I will definitely buy the game. Otherwise not, because I am no longer at the age to play against people who are much more skilled than me.

8 days left and no video or discussion on creating a map with no A.I. and still be able to play the map even if no XP...

i just want to run around map without worrying about enemies and explore and not be stuck at the screen where it says need more people to start the map.

A.I. rules would be ok but what im really looking for is just my self playing and no enemies and still being able to launch the actual game and play.

I’m pretty sure the information that was released stated that for the most part, Portal will work like it works in BF2042, with a lot of new features. So you should be able to use the same settings…and more.

Well, I'm 62 and still playing these games, but, yes, there are some very fast-paced players out there.  But remember, this is supposed to be for Fun.

Sorry I did not mean to offend anyone. When I was in my twenties or thirties I used to play online very often but since Battlefield 2042 introduced the option to play in co op or solo mode or to create custom servers where you can set a password and play only against CPU controlled opponents with the advantage of still earning XP progression even if moderated ribbons weapon and attachment unlocks and advancement within the various battle passes I really got used to that style of playing which is very anti stress. So I really hope that in the next title they keep the same possibilities at least in Portal. A couple of days ago I saw a video on YouTube where someone said that in case of custom servers set up differently from the EA validated experiences with full XP progression progression will still exist but it will be based more on the playtime than on the score. It may sound a bit complicated but it gives hope for rules that with all respect for those who prefer PvP also take into account players who still prefer PvE in the typical Battlefield modes and not only in the single player campaign.

create and pl;ay on a server with only  (1) person playing which would be me and no A.I. and no Humans (besides me).

just me and me along and my robot dog and all the vehicles.

the XP isnt a problem for me so its nice if its there or isnt is ok for my situation.

in conquest 128 the map wont start unless 32 people have joined first (in portal > host i can actually play with no other players (human or a.i.)

well i just paid $75.00 with tax for the standard version.

i sure hope i can play a game without A.I. or other human players like i did in bf2042 portal mode.
