Proposed Gadget Idea for Recon Class: Decoy Grenade

The concept is inspired by mechanics in other shooters: a throwable device that simulates gunfire and footsteps, tricking enemies into thinking there is movement nearby. It could also create false red dots on the minimap, forcing opponents to react to the wrong location.

This kind of gadget could fit well with the Recon play style — focused on deception, gathering intel, and misdirecting enemies rather than direct confrontation.

👉 What do you think? Should the Recon class have access to a gadget like this, or would it be too disruptive to the current balance?

    I'd like to see signal jamming device added for scout in similar style of that from Hardline.

  • You mean like the firecrackers 🧨 gadget on BFV? Why not. (Though it seemed always underused.)

  • These kinds of gadgets are already quite situational in the games that do use them. I wouldn't mind them adding it, but in the vast majority of the cases, the other grenades are far more useful. If it occupied the gadget slot I think it wouldn't really help either, it doesn't stack up against an ammo crate, m320 launcher or spawn beacon.
