REDSEC Feedback: Matchmaking, Visual Effects, and Hit Registration

I didn't get an answer. 

I don't ask for much, these are just basic things that every player wants: a duo mode and a functional matchmaking system. Some guy is out here playing a carbine with a scope like it's a sniper rifle; how on earth am I supposed to play on the same team as this dude? I seriously hate being teamed up with bronzes who hear gunshots and run away. It blows my mind how someone who started playing just an hour ago can end up in my lobby.

I only play ranked, and these are the bugs and issues I encounter constantly. I honestly can’t wrap my head around why there is no duo queue in ranked. Why can't I match up with or against people around my own rank? The enemy team is elite, while my teammates are bronze. Is this fair? Is there even a matchmaking system at all? 

I love the game, but I can't even fight because I'm stuck dealing with 3 clueless, no-hands idiots on my team. Even if I do fight, it won't change much because playing 1v4 isn't as easy as you think. Even if I win one fight, I'm bound to lose the second one.

I can see why you'd be frustrated if you're primarily playing Ranked and feel like you're running into multiple issues at once. The concerns hit pretty differently when rank is on the line versus a casual match.

One thing I did want to call out is that Ranked has actually received a few updates since launch. Update 1.3.1.5 included improvements to Ranked Battle Royale matchmaking messaging, progression visibility, placement RP display updates, and Ranked Points counter behavior after 999 RP. We also got Railway to Golmud and Ranked Battle Royale Quads as part of the Season 3 rollout, so there have been additions and changes to the ranked experience, even if they weren't necessarily the ones you were hoping for.

On the visual side, when you mention the screen turning into a disco ball around the beach area, is that happening on Cairo Bazaar, Railway to Golmud, or another map? And for the hit registration issues, are you mostly seeing that in Ranked BR specifically, or does it happen in other modes as well? The more detail we can gather on those two issues, the easier it is to compare them with other reports that may be coming in.
