REDSEC is still an undercooked mess.
I really didn't enjoy REDSEC when it arrived. I decided to give it another proper go, attempting some of the challenges via Casual Battle Royale. Unfortunately nothing has changed, if anything it's worse.
It's still suffering from long standing glitches, and even has more thrown in.
- Weird bloom errors causing giant lightsaber style beams to appear.
- My guns going invisible.
- Players going invisible, or clipping over ledges but still standing on them.
- Falling through the map, getting stuck forcing a reset.
- Loading into a match being incredibly slow, with the payer menu locking me, forcing a reboot.
- My character model and other players vanishing when on the helicopter, with floating gear.
- Having to wait ages to get into a round, only for it to put me on a team with two other people, when the mode has already started, playing the intro music and helicopter noises over gameplay.
The whole mode is a complete QA nightmare. Was it ever tested? It feels rushed. And as for the new interior of Fort Lyndon, how was that even an "update"? A few small rooms and a tunnel to wander through for 5 mins? What's the point?
I've reported these issues numerous times in the correct forum, get they never ever get acknowledged.
The whole mode just feels lifeless, and half the time people leave, and it doesn't fill anyone else in.
Vehicles are useless as they have weird presets and laughable low health, and the sheer unpredictability of the bullet sponge enemies makes even headshotting null and void.
The whole mode needs completely removing, as it's a waste of development time, when the rest of the game is struggling so much.
