Being able to map ranging to the fire button and have it work like that is silly. The simple fix in my opinion is have the zeroing change be delayed by a couple seconds, so your bullet goes where it was zeroed when the shot was taken. Having the Range Finder just display the distance somewhere and the player adjust manually would also be cool.
Range estimating by eye in this game I don't find too bad, but the lack of glowing orb bullet makes it a little harder than in BF3&4. The silly smoke trail hides the point of impact pretty good if you try to watch a test shot. Even so, I tried the range finder for a game or two and didn't find it worth the points. I didn't do the key-bind thing because I think it's cheesy, and I figured it could hurt my pop shots at moving helicopters if it ranged to something in the background.
WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE CHANGED is how I can be bouncing LMG round off a sniper, consistently but to little effect, like 200 - 300m away and somehow he is able to just 1-shot dome me under that condition. Having bullets entering your body I think should effect your aim somewhat, at least for a few seconds or something. I've been on both sides of this situation and I'm not a fan.
I like that suppression doesn't make sniping impossible anymore, but actually getting shot should probably disrupt things a bit.
