Season 2 delayed until game is properly dead

Season 2 has been delayed, apparently in order to make sure there aren't any players still playing when it drops.

Season 1 content was laughable, it looked more like content removed from the game before launch, with some terrible maps added. The maps were awful, the update broke more than it fixed.

Seems EA want to really kill off their game with this delay. My lord, this company is in trouble.. the lack of talent within the Dev team to fix bugs and add content players actually want is worrying.

  • My main concern is the severe lack of technical issues addressed on the update note. We don't care about bonus paths or AI generated stickers.

Plus the season 1 maps were flat, boring and far too small for a jet to fly on without going out of bounds.

  • lol, omg, calm down.  I'd rather them fix the issues and release it finished, than rush it through the door for impatient ADHD kids.

The problem is, it shouldn't have been this broken at all. There's clearly a focus on selling micro transactions, rather than core gameplay and stability.

Fix the issues like they did with the last update?  Maybe you need to stop drinking the cool aid and develop a bit of critical thinking.

That's one of the major issues indeed. The game sold well, so in the minds of the executives at EA the game is a big success and they have to milk it as much as possible. The same executives will be totally baffled when the next game bombs, and will no doubt push for more micro transactions.

  • Unfortunately the games has too many issues. Judging by the player retention, the game is dying off quickly. When season 2 does drop, I doubt it will deliver the fixes the game needs, plus I doubt that by that point a lot of players will come back to try the new content (By new content I of course mean the ai generated schlock EA seems to think is good enough to keep the sheep coming back and spending money on micro transactions).

They are a triple A studio if they cannot do both in an acceptable timeframe one must begin to question their competency. Its like that lazy coworker under you at work sometimes you just have to light a fire under them to get the best out of them otherwise they will spend the whole day wasting 9 hours

Well that's just it, going into the battlefield 6 launch they made a lot of pledges about how they would listen to the community and support the game.

Then Season 1 launched and it was already just nothing, bad maps, few weapons and ai generated shlock. Instantly it was clear that quality and effort had gone out the window, they had our money and their interest in fixing bugs and building on the game was zero.

Now to be honest the delay is Season 2 isn't confidence inspiring. They have not even spoken about the content that season 2 will come with. Lets just face it, a months delay isn't going to fix it if it isn't any good. So here we are, and the writing is on the wall.

Ofc S2 is gonna flop, they dont have the time and brains to listen to what people want and deliver on that. I got about 350 h on the game and Im fed up. Same small stupid maps, running from point to point nonstop ,breakthrough is a joke now, points so close to one another u can throw a grenade from A to B. I know EA is trash, but im dissapointed in DICE. I loved this franchise and really wanted this game to succed, but its such a **bleep**show that Im actually rooting for modern warfare 4 as an alternative

I understand the tragic death of the lead man on this game is going to have an effect and create delays, however the issues of quality and direction have been an EA issue for years. They don't seem to want to make games people want to play, they want to make games with the least amount of effort they can milk for years to come. The issue is that there are very few games like that which continue to appeal to players, and BF6 isn't going to be one of them.

There is also just an issue with the quality of the work from the developers, it's very lopsided. Some parts of the game the quality shines through, other parts really feel very weak. It seems this team doesn't have quality across the board, which must be really frustrating for the S tier devs who see some of their teams work, and must also realise it's pretty weak.
