Secure Boot Ruse
There is zero reason why any company should have access to my BIOS-level information, let alone for the seemingly innocuous reason of anti-cheat for a video game. On top of that, we see how (in)effective it is seeing as BF6 is already littered with cheaters.
I don't care if I'm screaming into the void. The open beta has been uninstalled. The EA launcher has been removed. I will never engage in anything published by EA again. And if this is the state of AAA gaming going forward, I'll happily just not partake.
A corporation doesn't get to decide what I do with my computer, especially when I choose to have dual boot operating systems and decide to disable Secure Boot as a result of it.
Unbelievable. And if any moderator of this discussion forum doesn't like what I have to say and opts to remove my post as a result, you're part of the problem, too.
