Shooting Rocks and Rubble.

I have noticed on some maps that when you lie prone with an SMG or similar you end up shooting rubble instead of killing the other side, then they turn round and kill you instantly.

I have a clear line of sight and I am not buried down in the rocks, and yet this happens frequently on some maps when you are trying to prone on piles of rocks.

Anyone else experience this?

Thanks.

Yes, I think we all have experienced it. Also with fences and railings.

The thing is that your camera is your head, and your gun is lower, so where you are looking from isn't where you are shooting from.  This often happens with sniper rifles where you are looking through a gap in the railing, but shoot the railing.  I think the aim down sight offset shouldn't actually be as much as is happening, but I don't know.  I think when you are shooting rocks, your oponent is shooting your head which is higher up.
