If I could I'd remove each and every thermal scope from BF6. I've got one on my L110 and it's sooooo easy to see enemies wherever they're hiding sometimes it's not even funny. It almost looks like it's a hack.

It would be a little too op imo. Right now a good 3x thermal scope is basically better than a 6x scope because it highlights the enemy through all the debris, clutter, etc.
And you can still kind of see through the smoke as is, just on the edges which sounds about right.
Though if normal smoke obscures thermals then wtf is the point of thermal smoke? That needs a fixin'

BF4 has thermals for vehicles and thermals for every class as infantry and tbh it is absolute cancer to gaming.
Thankfully BF4 also has hand held flares that are thrown as a grenade. The flare aggressively shuts down thermal optics and blinds the thermal users in a wide area. Each flare last around 60 seconds and any class can carry 3 by default.
We don’t have flares in BF6 and only one class can throw smokes. As we see on every round of Conquest and breakthrough, most medics don’t know how to deploy smoke effectively and they usually don’t even use it to help capture objectives or help get up downed players.
So basically you’re wanting the only counter to thermals, a counter which can only be carried by one class, to be totally removed from the equation. Seriously??

I think it isn't wrong.

Leaving aside the reality of how effective thermal imaging is in varying density, heat of the smoke, proximity of the heat source, etc.
Only more skilled, higher experienced players that have leveled their weapons to fairly high levels will have thermal scopes.
This would make the game much more miserable for other players.
Having an unlimited number of snipers that have thermal scopes with no way to counter them will not make a very entertaining experience.
Personally, I'd like to see the magic slide disappear

Smoke can be made of particles and is sometimes hot. So view should be limited, just not fully in all cases

I think thermal scope should not see through smoke. I don't think it would be fair to have an attachment that lets you see everyone all the time. That wouldn't be balance.

Agreed, but that is for selfish reasons. Thermals are amazing.
