Slide Jumping Accurcy.

Why are people slide jumping with 100% accuracy still?
Didn't Dice/EA say they were going to reduce this garbage from the game around season 1?

"Movement mechanics have been adjusted to create a more balanced and traditional Battlefield experience."

When? because they aren't.

"Firing while jumping or sliding will result in increased inaccuracy."

Does it? because im not only experiencing an increase in jump or sliding death from people.
But there are countless videos of people ADS stationary losing to this garbage mechanic.

You didn't hold up the promise and it's getting old.

It's bad enough that most of the weapons have bloom from 20m and over. (eeither that or the hitreg is broken) But you also have people abusing sliding and jumping around corners almost a year later after you said you'd make it silly way to engage people as you'd be at a severe disadvantage.
Maybe if there was an actual suppression mechanic it wouldnt be happening.

Whens it being fixed?

They practically didn't do anything. There are a couple of YouTube videos that I've come across talking about this and showing that there's no noticeable difference since the update. If they get rid of the COD-style gunplay, they get rid of half their players. Play Conquest on the bigger maps with vehicles, and you can see most of the infantry are always at the bases with a close quarter atmoshpere. Mirak, B and D. Contamination, B, C, and E. This BF title has more COD players than the earlier titles did. They're conveniently the same players complaining about aircraft and vehicles being overpowered.

  • Maybe they're Like Me and they just got that Dog in them that lets them win gunfights while moving.

Most people who slide around corners at me or who jump against me always lose tbh, it makes them super predictable.

Can we get some research on what makes a "CoD player" because it seems to me it's just a buzzword for "more skilled player"

"cod-style" where have u been in the past 15 years? movement has been a thing in BF for too long now, just say you are bad at the game and can't use the movement the game allows you to. slide jump stuff has been in modern gaming for the past 20 years, adapt or get good. the constant crying about this has to stop, even previous BF titles had this, if you don't do it, that's on you

  • Well they did nerf it pretty heavily a long time ago, and said they did as much as well.

But the very next patch they shadow reverted the changes and have been hushhush about it ever since.

Above is probably right.  All the low skill CoD whales who buy everything on the store left the game when they couldn't just abuse broken mechanics to get kills.  Gotta follow the money.

  • To anyone and everyone saying this has been in BF is full of it.

2042 is the only game that has this style of slide jumping without a penalty for doing it.
Is it just a coincidence then that Zampella joins 2021 for leadership of Battlefield and the 2 games under his belt have CoD mechanics?

Sliding was introduced in bf1, and was short and fairly normal and couldn't jump like a frog after the slide.
BfV had better sliding and you could get a jump on the end but it wasn't this flying through the air we have now.
No other game had sliding, let alone being able to jump around like you're playing CoD.

So no, this isn't a battlefield staple, it's a CoD staple forced into a Battlefield game.

You're very wrong with what you say. And most agree with me and the original post, along with the many posts that have this type of discussion. And if I am wrong, the devs wouldn't have come out themselves saying they are working to make movement alongside the traditional BF titles. Along with the many YouTube videos showing how flawed the movement is. And really, it's not necessarily the movement as much as a lack of suppression. It's a joke when you can have the jump on someone, blasting them with an LMG at close range, and they're able to jump 10 feet to the right or left and kill you with an SMG or Pistol.
