Why is it that the earliest scopes for the sniper rifles are all assault type scopes? They're long range weapons, why would I use it as a close in weapon? Battlefield devs, who thought this was a good idea. I understand game balance, but really. A 2x scope for a sniper rifle, that isn't even a semi-auto? And that brings up another question, no semi-auto sniper rifles?
I am old and slow. Can not keep up with the pace to run and gun. So I try to snipe. Not possible in this game. With the most powerful scope you can not see to place shots on what should a easy shot with a Assault Rifle. If player runs up on you and you shoot them point blank anywhere it is not a kill they kill you with SMG. Sniper rifle is in war for a purpose it has a role, Your supposed to be able to lay back and provide cover. This is set up to where the gun will accurately shoot 5 times further then you can see target. It is terrible that you can not cycle shots while ADS, What's up with that crap? Cycle time is already deadly long. You do not live after taking a sniper round in the head or sternum, You defiantly do not turn and shoot back after the hit.
It appears that EA is trying to discourage sniper rifle play by nerfing it to the point it isn't usable.
I will be returning the game for refund if they do not fix sniper rifles and give us sniper rifle scopes and do away with the SMG and Assault optics in the loadout options real quick.
It is hard enough to deal with all the controller AI.
