To be fair, PC cheats are WAY more powerful than console cheats and way easier and cheaper. For console, it is impossible to wallhack, aimbot can only be achieved with special and expensive video capture setup to a PC with AI vision software that is no longer being supported and then a special piggyback device which is no longer being produced is used to inject data into the controller's stream of data, and even then it is limited to what is visible on the screen, can't detect anything off-screen, and has issues with lighting and stuff. Not saying it's okay or not a problem, just saying what the problem looks like from a legitimate console player's perspective.
On the other hand, when no cheating is taking place, it is obvious that controllers have an advantage. Let's focus on what can be done to balance legitimate gameplay. Since any control method can be used on any device, crossplay control isn't the solution. Cheaters can and should be handled separately. Both are problems and both have different solutions.
