Snipers need one shot body kill at close range !

Hi,

If you don't know, sniper rifles cannot fire a single shot from the body from any distance, not even 1 meter. But All assault, smg, lmg weapons in the game kill in 4 hits from close range, some full auto weapons kill in 3 hits. Snipers cannot single-shot body kill and in this situation it is impossible to fight them. Sniper weapons should fire single shot kill from the body from a distance of 0-50m. If this is not fixed, recon will remain a dead class like in bf 2042, no one will prefer it. For a fair fight, it should kill with a single hit to the body at close range like BF3-BF4.

  • Every weapon has a strength and weakness. SMG is good at short range, but weak at long range. Sniper rifles are the opposite.

Getting one shot with no chance to react is annoying and overpowered.

Shooting a sniper at close range requires much more skill. 1 ammo vs 30 ammo, smg asasult lmg can hipfire, and The scope have an opening time.

Some games allow red dot sights to be equipped on sniper rifles. Imagine if that were allowed in BF6.

Actually, there is at least one rifle in BF 2042 able to one shot you with a bullet to the body, even on a pretty long distance - NTW-50. And you can put any scope on it. But it of course has it drawbacks like a long reload time for the balance purposes.

  • Ideally, it would be best to have only HS as the instant death judge. There are pros and cons to the SR system like BF1.

  • No. I despise one shot kill weapons, especially if the skill is lowered for it. Snipers are already one shot if you get a head shot. So I'm not seeing the issue. With online networking rarely feeling perfect, why would anyone want one shot kill weapons period? I want to play the game and be able to react, not just die instantly all the time. Gun fights are fun when there's some skill besides who has faster raw reflexes and the better connection to that particular round.

  • Sniper rifles are by definition a long range precision weapon. Any recon player should have a decent side arm they’re comfortable with using close range. If you really feel the need to get close as a recon with a sniper rifle, make sure you have a fast firing sniper rifle, so you can potentially get more than one shot out quickly. Otherwise do what everyone else has been doing for as long as Battlefield games have been around: one shot with the sniper rifle, switch to the side arm to quickly finish them off.

This is just horrible and is a mentality that kills games. If you're sniping and someone with an M4 comes up behind you, you SHOULD die. A sniper's job is to quickly kill enemies from an overwatch position. You can one-shot kill people from 80m away while quickly strafing back and forth between shots and freely spotting people. This is already unrealistic, but feeds into the class identity. Should an M4 be allowed to do this to be fair? You have a motion sensor, a secondary, C4, squad mates, and whatever is still to be revealed. That is what is supposed to save you in close range. I've seen a BF6 video where someone was showing in the shooting range that sniper damage actually increases over distance. If this is meant to be a feature of the game, I praise Dice for it.

Hi pal, just letting you know, this game isn't real life. I know...shocker! Nothing about it needs to be "realistic" as it is pixels on a screen aha. Real world war is much more brutal, so i doubt you would like that realism lol. It seems to me, you have what we call in the industry, a "major skill issue." So lets just have some fun, sit back, and play the game.

p.s. If this mentality "kills" games, then how is COD still knockin about? That has one shot body shots, and many people buy it every year. Just food for thought!

    Much love,
