Some issues during my first playthrough
The game is a ton of fun, but there are a couple of issues/suggestions I'd like to make:
Sounds
Not entirely sure what's happening, but this effect where the sound gets muffled whenever you get you get shot is absolutely terrible. I'd even call it game breaking. Let me guess, it's suppression kicking in? Imagine this, you're in a tight situation, you're trying to get some awareness of what's happening around you and your sound just doesn't work. You just get shellshocked every other firefight.
In addition to this, footstep sounds are not audible enough. The volume is already bad, but there's too much environmental noise that completely drowns out any chance of hearing them. Battlefield 2042 was terrible for many reasons, but footstep sounds wasn't one of them. You could play by sound in that game. Choosing whether to crouching, walk or run mattered because the enemy would otherwise hear you. Is it realistic? Probably not, but it's certainly more enjoyable and it slows down the pace of the game in a positive way. You can still go fast, but there's a real advantage to stop and listen every now and then.
Medics
If you're dragging a body, another medic can just come up and use the paddles to revive the person you're dragging. They get quick points, but it completely robs you from the revive and potentially let's the enemy shoot the person you just tried to drag to safety.
When you press E on a revivable body, it defaults to dragging. While this isn't necessarily wrong, I'd really like to have the ability to have the choice of when to drag, or when to quickly do a full HP revive with the paddles similar to the one in Battlefield 2042. Ideally, both the drag and the revive could use their own keybinds, so you can choose on the spot. In addition to that, if you hold the E button, it should charge the paddles. This allows you to revive players with a single tap/hold of a button, instead of first having to bring the paddles out.
UI
- When having a controller attached, while using mouse and keyboard, the tool tips within the settings can't be scrolled through. Likely an issue with a really small amount of stickdrift, but it would be great if the tool tips don't respond to the controller unless you first make a proper input with your controller.
- You can't mark objectives if you're not the squad leader? I miss being able to tell my squad where I'm going.
