Something is terribly wrong with vehicle controls

I am an infantry person and dislike vehicles, they are just too weird and chaotic to use. I want to finish Land vehicle expert 3 (or whatever is it called), so I was forced to try. It ended up just like I expected, however there is something terribly wrong with the controls too.
Can anyone tell me how the heck am I supposed to use a tank when the turret is turning so slowly it takes like TEN full mousepad sweeps as fast as I can to turn it say, 90°? I am dead before I can even figure out where the enemy is. I know there is the sensitivity setting, but when I increase it, it's still so slow I can't really react to ANY attack in first peson, but now when I go into third person, the camera spins around in such speed I want to vomit. This can't be working as intended!

Can anyone tell me how to adjust the ingame settings to be able to at least TRY TO drive around please? I know everyone has different mouse sensitivity settings and preference, but anything is a decent baseline when the game default settings suck horribly.
