Squad Size Change
It would be very beneficial for BF6 & DICE to revert to 6 player squads. Heres why:
- Strengthens the community: when people can consistently play with more friends, they’re more likely to stay engaged and form clans
- Current squad size forces friend groups to split off into different matches or different squads. Trying to load into same game of a full squad isn’t always reliable.
- Improved team synergy: allowing squads to function like actual military units rather than random small fireteams
- Supports larger scale warfare (Battlefields identity)
- Better use of vehicles: a full squad of friends in a chopper, APC, or tank crew can lead to better teamwork
- Increased tactical options: more squad members= more room for diverse roles
- Games like Squad or Hell Let Loose have shown that players are hungry for more realistic team oriented gameplay and larger squads are central to that experience
- Encourages squad cohesion: if 1-2 members die or go rogue, a 4 man squad’s effectiveness drops drastically, a larger squad keeps pressure on objectives, enables squad to flank/ multi angle approaches without falling apart
- Makes squad spawns more reliable and tactically valuable
