Still Waiting for the “Apology Perks”
Hey squad— Sharing this because I still haven’t received the promised make-good from Electronic Arts despite being impacted by the EA App launch bug on October 10. According to EA’s own statement on X, players who were locked out of BF6 via the EA App were supposed to receive 12 Hardware + 12 Career 60-min XP Boosters and free access to the Season 1 Battle Pass (and for Phantom edition owners, free Season 2). (I bought Phantom, so I will have to wait see if I get to season 2 free.)
I pre-ordered via the EA app, attempted to launch the game, got the “missing content / purchase to play” error, and couldn’t get in—yet there was no reward inbox, no notification, nothing. Reddit, the EA forums, and X indicate that many others are experiencing the same issue.
So I’m asking the community:
• If you purchased via the EA app and were locked out on launch day, did you receive the compensation?
• If yes, how the heck did you get it? Because support gave me the runaround.
• If you didn’t get anything, what response did support give you?
Let's establish a clear thread to ensure EA addresses this matter. They told us, “Anyone on the EA app who was impacted will receive…”—yet far too many of us have not.
Please provide your status (yes/no), the items you purchased, your login status on launch day, and whether you received the reward. Maybe together we can push for clarity and resolution.
