not many of us will be buying the next battlefield. bf6 was the last chance to make a bf3 esque game and they failed.

I'm hoping the reworks of the old maps live up to our expectations, be nice to see more nostalgic maps mixed in with new maps. Bit of a fiddle with the weapon/gadget balancing and a fifth class or at least updating class training paths to make them feel more unique and impactful choices would go a long way too.

d69fd7d9150d78c9 I don’t think it’s over yet honestly. The game still has a few years ahead of it and nothing says they can’t keep adjusting and improving it over time.
When you look at the 2026 roadmap, you can clearly see they’re moving in the right direction. Bigger maps, more classic Battlefield features, server browser, naval warfare, legacy content… they definitely understood that a lot of players want a return to the roots of Battlefield. That alone is already a good start in my opinion.
