It's not a big deal, but you are absolutely right.
The whole "in a round" thing is near pointless. Most people will have dropped into a bot server (even when not wanting a bot server) and against bots gotten ridiculously inflated figures for nearly anything and everything in one round or two.
As with so many things in this game, this feels badly designed by someone who doesn't actually play the game.
