Suppression feels useless

Yeah so suppression doesnt feel like its anything to worry about, its more of snitching out your own location. you cant deter anybody with suppression, its not disorienting at all and often gets you yourself killed.

ive had moments dealing with suppression indicator and it just gave the enemy away to me for a quick kill. suppression needs to be a tool, not a way to get yourself killed quicker.

how does anyone else feel about the current suppression?

  • Its **bleep**, as many challenges in the game are, too.

    If you want to see other topics on it and support it, look up suppression in the search bar. The more, the merrier. Numbers is key.

  • Agreed suppression is pointless, they should bring old suppression which blur vision, at least it would help in keeping you alive or your allies.

    Would like them to split suppression in to 2 options; gun suppression which slightly blurs vision has a small AoE so your shots have to land near the enemy and explosive suppression which delays health regen for a few seconds and has a wider AoE.

    I like your ideas. This how I'd do it:

    Bullet suppression:

    • Slight grey vignette (squinting).
    • Slight gun wobble while aiming (flinching).
    • Delay health regeneration.
    • Low AoE.

     

    Explosive suppression:

    • Slight black vignette (squiting from dusty explosion (makes it distinct)).
    • Delay health regeneration.
    • Delay gadget / tactical items recovery from supply boxes each time, and as long as, the suppression is detetced. But no delay after stopping suppression.
    • High AoE.

     

    These two could be combined if both happen at the same time or sequentially either way. You can stack everything but don't double up on health regeneration delay; that's phucked. Just keep that normal.

    Also, I'd consider making the supression mechanics outside close quarter range to remove excessivness. Possibly keep it at the mid ranges and on... 

    Honestly, if this was added and they improved map size,  and fixed mortars, BF6 would be top tier. 🤌
