svk and hollow points

dose hollow points not work with the svk. it seams its  just a 1 shot at  short range only with them or with out them so what's the point of pushing for them if u cant get any benefits at lest to mid range 75 to 100 yards.   right now its only working at 10 to 15 yard's 

also why is the range not showing damage numbers any more
