I want to add, the simplicity of the takedowns is fine, just the angle adjustment is needed to factor in enemy movement, we are very rarely dealing with a static target.
Oh and if an enemy is running it just won't activate a takedown, I also had issues in the beta where I was crouched and it wouldn't do a takedown on somebody standing up like you have to literally be staring straight at the back of their head, so maybe make the hit box cover all the way down to the waist.
