I think they made it unnecessarily difficult on themselves by locking behind major class progression behind some of the challenges. For example, starting with 300 enemies suppressed and damage via hipfire as the first challenge, which locks behind it multiple weapons and attachments, was poorly implemented. Many of these would have benefitted by just being badges/camo/profile picture/something.
I think some of the challenges were overtuned, but now makes it easy for some of them to hit gold/final level very easily. I know that it must look to the devs like 'you guys will complain about everything and you're never happy!'. The game has been out for a month, and people want to not feel stuck, but also don't want to be playing in a dumb way (I spent several rounds in casual breakthrough just getting suppressions at about 30 per round to progress with Support). I'm thankful that they added the bots back to make it easier to get through those numbers, but it felt terrible to be forcing that grind through so that I could begin unlocking multiple weapons and gadgets.
