Yup. They obviously decided to cut the idle time down so people waiting to get in a game have a better chance to do so.
Sadly, this makes for an appalling experience for those of us that paid £100 for the game.
I detest any decision or mechanic that tells me when, how or how long to do something. Especially for something I paid for.
Need to jump out of the game for work, meals, going out etc?
Ok fine. But you lose your progression you earned in the game if you quit before the round ends.
Awesome.
Need to step away from the game for a moment? Better hurry, because you got like 60 seconds before Dice will kick you out of the game and then have to spend god knows how long trying to work out how to join back up with your friends again.
Did the other team momentarily capture all the flags in a match that you are winning?
Well then. Dice has a mechanic for that. They believe the best thing to happen in that situation is to end the round entirely!
They even decided to lower the ticket count because games were lasting until the end of the time limit. Shock horror! Can’t have that. Better lower the ticket count!
They only walked that back because the entire community collectively said:
”Errrrr…. WTF?!”
Welcome to BattleCod, where the name of the game is run, gun, get the hell out of the match and repeat.
