The new map is a hard miss...

Honestly, it felt really cool when first starting it up and playing it.  It was kind of fun exploring it and getting to learn many of the areas.

But after some time of actually, really, deeply playing on it, I hate it.  It's got an even worse bias than Eastwood does.  There is practically no cover on half the map.  Snipers get an insane advantage on this map.  Pax, again, gets an advantage over Nato, to the point that getting Nato on escalation or Conquest is an almost guaranteed loss.  On breakthrough it reverses, funny enough, but it's also a guaranteed loss for the attackers.

Obviously I won't count the clear and obvious stomps this game has when it places 12 players with over a 10/1 KDA on one team, with the other being little Timmy and his special friends.  Usually I am one of those special friends, but still.

Vehicles feel terrible on this map because Pax has such an insane terrain advantage that it makes you not want to even engage them.  Helos get to play like typical over stimulated toddlers since they can just dip out practically any time they don't want to get shot down, or thanks to the fact one leaf of a tree can block your lock-on.  The tunnel OBJ has a clear bias when attacking from Nato side because Pax can hide on the downward incline with vehicles but Nato will always get shot first because they are descending into the vision line.  Pax can practically camp all of Nato side from the hillside.  This can't be done as Nato against pax due to sight lines and changing combat lines on escalation.

The tunnels could have been really cool, but instead of doing a cool underground section there are about... 1 hallways to engage in and other than that it's just dead areas.  You know, what in the world are those 1000 step stairways?  I'd also like to have a talk with whoever is so in love with ziplines, or as I would call them, "Screeching warning systems that let all of China know you are here."  Elevators in past titles didn't warn the entire planet that someone (or a jeep because that was INSANELY fun) had just come up the elevator.  I imagine someone in charge of this design got knifed several times because the elevators didn't have an enemy detection system and made sure we could never have those again.  Excuse my rant, but my point is why weren't elevators used?  Could have had some really cool industrial elevator action, but instead "WHRRRRRRRR" and then you get shot because everyone on the map can hear a zipline in use.

I've also got a major complaint about the clearly untested geometry.  Most of the rocks, lumber piles, dirt, leaves on the ground will send you bouncing up and down and sliding all around like you just got on a greased up carnival ride.  I will forgive a bit because it's known this is an issue in BF6 across all maps, but man is it tiring.  Trying to inch forward to get a better shot, inch by inch by inch by WHOOSH now i'm 10 feet in the air weeee ah I died because I flew out of my cover.

I'm not saying it very eloquently, but there are a lot of problems with this new map.  I really hope that EA finds some time to do some updates to their currently released maps alongside their still being worked on maps.
