The Phantom Program - What possessed you to make this?
The idea is to team up with friends and tactically take on these "challenges".
Firstly, none of my gaming mates in their right mind play Battlefield 6 anymore due to its horrendous technical state, and secondly, some of us can't even get into a match due to the new matchmaking issues! Us PS5 players don't even have working reticles currently! And you expect the above?
(This doesn't even touch the surface of the regular menu freezing, blackscreen crashing, and other ridiculous issues that a game made by one of the wealthiest studios in the world, suffers from. But I digress).
Not all of us have the time to be squadding up and taking on something like this, so why on earth make that almost a necessity? Gaming with randoms is basically pot luck, with the odds being extremely low of getting even on the carrier, let alone any challenge crates looted.
If it wasn't terrible enough, you then have to win with this "fragment" being held, and then do it three times in a row.
Are we serious? Where's the fun in something that stressful for such a meager reward?
For those who would say "oh well it's optional, you don't HAVE to play..." Id argue; the program contains new narration, story content and interesting dynamics with the whole black light and scanning thing. Id genuinely like to see those story elements for myself in some form, without having to use YouTube. However, that's near impossible.
I was looking forward to the phantom program, and genuinely hung onto this mess to see it return. Now, I wish I'd left sooner and not continued to waste my time and money on this scam.
Plus, as a fan of the original phantom program, I would've liked to relive some of those types of challenges however, you've locked it into a severely broken game mode, with other game breaking glitches across the entire product, to force people to play this absolute waste of development time.
Will players die when you shoot them? Who knows! In REDSEC bullets are either one shot fatal or polystyrene! What fun! 🤪
Absolutely ridiculous.
Some serious questions need to be raised to a developer this big and well funded. We're not running on tin cans and shoelaces here, this is one of the richest developers in the world. And STILL, this multi studio can't even QA things properly.
As always EA, you're everything that's wrong with gaming culture.
