The Server Browser seriously needs some improvements
Here are a few improvements the server browser really needs:
- Display the filter in a sidebar, with dropdown boxes, instead of opening a separate page (see BFV's quickfilter). This would reduce the amount of clicks required to choose a filter.
- Remember the last used sort and filter. Currently they are often reset after leaving the server browser, or even after refreshing, requring the user to constantly re-apply them.
- Allow filters to be saved, so it is possible to quickly switch between multiple filters (see BFV)
- Allow filtering for multiple regions, player counts and free slots.
- Allow negating filters (i.e. make it possible to show all servers that don't have a certain tag, map, etc)
- Servers should not be joined when clicking on them, as this is easily triggered accidentally. Instead add a 'play' button on each row to join a server (see BFV).
- The ability to view a server's map rotation.
- An option to favourite a server, both from the server browser and while in a match. If a server is taken down, the entry in the favourites list should instead give you an option to view another server from the same player, if it exists.
- A list of recently joined servers, following the same behaviour as favourites.
- The ability to sort by directly clicking on a column header.
