TO BE MORE CLEAR: Whether players liked it or not, or even cared or not...they took away a heavily advertised feature, and actual part of the game... WITHOUT NOTICE!  They said something was going  to be done about the bot farms.  They did not say they were going to take away a MAIN feature of the game from every single player in the game!

AND, even if they had said the previous, and did the best they could for every single player to see it, where would the player recourse be?  How could players get their money back?

There should be at least a USA wide Class Action Suite against EA!  Maybe a Go-Fund me to hire a team of attorneys?  They need to answer for the bad they have done!

Taking away the main feature regarding this game that most people bought it for... solo play (and with friends) against bots with full progression!

They did not even make it clear about the 25 tier skips.  The advertising was deceptive, at best.  I thought that would be available when the actual tier skips would be released... no matter what the player tier was currently.  NO WHERE DID IT SAY IT STARTED IT LEVEL 1 (ONE) IN THEIR ADVERTISING.

How was a player going to play Early Access, 2 BETAS, and then be at LEVEL 1 when the tier skips would much later, actually become available?

Sorry, I've just seen a lot of people try to "um actually" around what "verified" is supposed to mean.

And just to add further salt to the wound, the FULL XP in Battlefield 6's Portal was sold on the premise that its 'Verified Modes' were going to be a massive improvement over 2042's handling of XP, where you couldn't use Bot backfill without getting reduced XP and XP caps per minute, EVEN WHEN the lobby filled up with humans. And just so everyone knows, even 2042's FULL XP Portal had XP caps per minute in place and ribbon XP reductions. You simply couldn't earn as much XP in 2042's Portal than you could in its Official Matchmaking.

Verified Modes were supposed to be the solution to this.

Alas, we've been lied to and now 2042 is repeating itself over, play by play, almost like watching a recording of an old football game.

I requested a refund from Steam for similar reasons, but both were denied. Yes, they fall back on the "policy" but those are just written to cover most ordinary circumstances. Unusual or extraordinary circumstances can be easily handled on a case-by-case basis.  EA decided to disable the primary play mode(after one week), which was the sole reason for many purchases. Whether they played 4, 6, or 10+ hours is not relevant; they made the arbitrary decision to remove it instead of eliminating the exploits. The next step is to contact the bank where the game was purchased, and then to the BBB if that fails.

 Just give the people what was promised: a persistent server with full XP progression, and deal with those who exploit just as you would players using cheats, or refund the purchase price.

To be clear, I agree with you. I was arguing against their statement of all creations. Not being specific of verified ones (which we all took to be with AI backfill included)

@CaptJackParrot - Yes, you’re right and as mentioned and explained in another Thread in my opinion EA/DICE should get sued for that as they did it again but hey, one time a liar, always a liar so it’s our fault to believe them. Especially after what we’ve learned with 2042. I’m not happy to say this but I more and more believe that they need a punishment that hurts. Otherwise, they’ll become a role model with this behavior for other developers and surely that will harm the gaming industry badly. We the Players are paying the price which is: Pay a lot for what’s sound and looks good and get whatever we want you to get and if you believed in our promises and advertising, you’re just an idiot and the next bottle of Champagne is on you. Brave new world.

GMeiMadh – of course MiRoz81 is right, and he surely has not to translate this absurd nonsense into his native language as requested by “IamSharkx” just because this guy isn’t able to see the facts or simply is too simple to understand them. Facts
Portal was promised and advertised with full XP if an “official” template is used to create the promised one persistent server every buyer will have.

Not surprisingly and as in 2042 Bot farmers and AFK server creators came up using “custom” templates which must be checked and confirmed by DICE, how funny is that, before they can be published, and every little change takes away the confirmation and requires a new check. Sounds safe if you’re competent enough to do the check by e.g. simply running the template in a test environment, right?

Result
EA/DICE decided to become (again) liars and to commit fraud as requested by people mentioned above and punished the surely overwhelming majority of “honest” Players who did nothing wrong and just enjoyed the way to play the game as they want and as it was promised.

Conclusion
Global Player Quota error – poor administration considering they have the pre-order numbers and were not able or not willing to rent enough server.

Bot farm and AFK servers – poor technic and/or administration to check and decide whether it can be published the way it is or not. Btw, from this PoV you could say that EA/DICE has published these servers or not?

Easy solution
Shut down all these servers immediately and that would have resolved the issue. Also funny, most of them had “AFK and Bot farm” in their title, how crazy is that.

Question
Whose fault is it, who is in charge? The answer is easy, right? EA/DICE and only EA/DICE and nobody else or does anybody has GOOD arguments to convince me that I’m wrong. If so, please let me know.

The problem stems from the progression rewarding XP with more power.

In BF1 the system was much better because the basic guns were decent and the attachments were part of the gun variants. Progression unlocked more variants which gave you flexibility and variety but didn't just make you straight-up more powerful.

For BF6 they've gone with the old fake skill gap rubbish where players with more experience (which already gives you an advantage, of course, but a natural one) are handed attachments and guns that give them a direct power advantage over people buying the game later or having less time (noobs and casuals).

This will always make those casual players and noobs frustrated and put them off the game.

Elitist noob-stompers love it though.

It's a stupid lazy system and the whole progression XP thing wouldn't be an issue if they hadn't gone with this tired old model.

Yeah i just tried it, it sucked, not gonna play much now. Gonna check out Black Ops 7 when it releases. They **bleep**ed themselves like stray cats in China Town doing this. And I get it we were all making servers... BUT they never gave us an option to make the ones we want to Host Locally. And if they are so concerned about leader board integrity they would reset everyone's because a lot of those high ranking ones were done by bot farms so they could get all the good stuff to kick butt in PvP, like others were working on till they decided to **bleep** their game over. Guess they rolled the DICE and it they didn't land in their favor. 

Some ways to avoid or mitigate a bad hand include avoiding high-odds "proposition" bets, not making last-minute bets, and understanding that a string of bad rolls is statistically possible even with safe bets..
