I haven't played the mode much, but I keep reading the same from others. Frankly, it just sounds like the mode was poorly thought out. Not the first time this happens, too: in Operation Augur, the balance was completely off.
I just think the team in charge of the live service is not very big, and they don't have the resources to test properly (to get it tested in BF Labs, it needs to be ready quite early in the process).
The thing I simply can't get over is how the same mistakes just repeat over and over, like good god please just learn from it.

Because you need time to learn lessons. You need to have an after-action report, an analysis on what needs to be avoided, a document where you put in the lessons learned. And then you need to have enough headspace when designing to refer to that document and make sure you applied the lessons.
If the team is really as small as I think they are, they are producing stuff at a rapid clip with no extra resources. Mistakes will be made again and again. It’s the core issue of live service: you want to make as much money as possible and so dedicate as few people as you can to managing it, but then you need to deliver content with hard deadlines again and again.
It’s a terrible model when it comes to quality and accountability. It can work when what you’re producing is simple or involves a lot of recycling - say, a slew of three-laned COD maps - and really bad for anything else.

Yea I get that and that's why I'm worried for next season as this season was likely pretty much done before all the layoffs.
The dumb stuff like unprotected vehicles getting wrecked before they are even in the air has been around for multiple battlefields at this point over a decade if not more and every time they have to go back and implement fixes. Just launch with the fixes you know your going to need.
It's just dumb.

Yeah, I agree. You can already see the cracks, a lot of little things got sloppy: some gadget not having proper animations since they introduced delays, the blue dots that sometimes become ginormous, the recon motion sensor giving you an error message when you try to put it down for no reason, the mini map showing everyone as a medic... Oh also I now get this thing where my characters moves in and out of the background in the character selection screen...
It's small things, nothing gamebreaking in the least. But what started as a rather sleek package is becoming considerably less so. And small things like the gear swap when trying to revive, stuff that should have been sorted out months ago, well they seem to have not time for that.
So yeah, I'm worried about next season. I just hope they manage to keep the quality of the maps up, because if that fails...
