Unable to join games. Hitting start matchmaking, but then returned to lobby

Have there been any updates to this issue or has anyone found a solution? I saw on the steam discussion pages people are having this problem, but I cannot find a way to actually contact EA. 

The problem is being in the lobby, hitting start matchmaking, and then after a few seconds the player stands up and appears to have a game found, then next thing I am back in the menu. 

I have verified integrity, uninstalled some DLCs, updated to windows 11, and it still keeps happening. I have a wired connection and I have never had any issued with matchmaking on any other game
